How often does the lawn need to be mowed?
In summer: with a conventional lawn, mow once a week on average, dropping to once a fortnight, or longer, during periods of drought. Flower-rich lawns can be mown every four to six weeks. Long-grassed lawns are best cut once or twice over the summer, usually not before June.
how long does new grass take to grow?
Grass seed germinates at different rates, depending on various factors such as the grass species, weather, time of year and soil moisture. Typically, germination takes between five and 10 days. Once germinated, the grass will continue to grow at a rate of about 2/3cm per week
How long does it take to lay turf?
For experienced turf installers they'll have your new lawn laid in no time, but for the DIY, handyman or homeowner, you should allow approximately 2 to 2½ hours per 50m² of turf rolls.
